has made the following recommendations for research into Lyme disease:
Core outcome set for studies of management of Lyme disease
Clinical epidemiology of Lyme disease in the UK
Seroprevalence of Lyme disease-specific antibodies and other tick-borne infections in the UK population
Antimicrobial management of Lyme disease
Laboratory tests to diagnose initial and ongoing infection and determine re-infection in the different
presentations of Lyme disease in the UK
The James Lind Alliance published the “UK Lyme
Disease Priority Setting Partnership - The top 10 Research Priorities”. These are the top 10 uncertainties in the
diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease agreed by clinicians and patients [83] .
